Mixed Feelings!

Written on 27th December 2016

She doesn’t know what’s going on,
She’s happy but, too scared.
She wants to fly but, scared to open her wings,
Thinking of what, tomorrow brings….

She wants to hold herself back and at the same time wants to let it all go.
From the inside it is a ‘Yes’ but, on the outside it is a ‘No’.
How difficult becomes life when we grow,
Inside there’s a storm but, on the outside it’s a different show.

Yes life in itself is a paradox and in this journey called life amidst the pandemonium our conflicting steps can make us doubt our decisions yet one needs to just live in the moment. For every passing moment promises to be a gift, a blessing in itself. Perhaps that’s why present is called ‘present’. 😏

It was such a philosophical comment and all you noticed was the smirk😯😱lol. Smirk was more coz of the playful pun around the word present. I personally like to smile that way when I highlight some old memory in a funny way or when I randomly play around with words. Safe to say that smirk is like a style statementπŸ•Ίof the inner child that still breathes within me. πŸ˜…

It’s like if a guy is repeatedly smiling then he’s obviously upto something notorious, huh? In the era of exaggerated emojis like > πŸ˜‚, I choose to be classy and subtle like > 😏. Grace isn’t something that screams but something that quietly streams. 😏

Really beautiful poetic piece, with great use of imagery. Sad but lovely poem. I guess some people have a way of hiding their feelings. They could be falling apart, dying on the inside and nobody will ever know. That’s some real strength right there !
