She’s happy but, too scared.
She wants to fly but, scared to open her wings,
Thinking of what, tomorrow brings….
From the inside it is a ‘Yes’ but, on the outside it is a ‘No’.
How difficult becomes life when we grow,

It was such a philosophical comment and all you noticed was the smirk😯😱lol. Smirk was more coz of the playful pun around the word present. I personally like to smile that way when I highlight some old memory in a funny way or when I randomly play around with words. Safe to say that smirk is like a style statement🕺of the inner child that still breathes within me. 😅

Really beautiful poetic piece, with great use of imagery. Sad but lovely poem. I guess some people have a way of hiding their feelings. They could be falling apart, dying on the inside and nobody will ever know. That’s some real strength right there !
